REGISTRY

The buyer shall register at the office of Cumberland Valley Produce Auction for a buyer’s identification number. If you bring your own truck, feel free to use any available dock, we have docks to fit most sizes and types of trucks.

BIDDING

Attend in person or use an order buyer. There is NO buyer’s premium for in person bidding. An order buyer can represent you in the bidding when you are not there in person. There is a fee of 3% for this service which includes order shipment
preparations.

REGISTRY INFO

Registry consists of the buyer’s company name, address, telephone number, driver’s license, and name of person(s) responsible for purchase and payment of product.

SALES TAX

Pennsylvania State sales tax is collected on all ornamentals – unless a valid PA State Sales Tax Resale Exemption form is on file. A copy of your sales tax number certificate would be helpful.

BUYER’S NUMBER

The buyer’s number is to be used whenever a purchase is made at the Cumberland Valley Produce Auction. Buyer number is just good for the day (Unless permanent account is set up) – please turn in your number card when you are done buying for the day.

REQUIRED QUANTITIES

Items are sold in wholesale quantities. The auctioneer will announce the required quantities beforehand. General minimum quantities are: Boxed items 5 boxes, Bin items 1 bin, Flowers whatever is displayed on a single cart or skid.

INSPECTION

The buyer is responsible for the inspection of quality and grading of produce offered for sale and will place their bid accordingly.

BUYER RESPONSIBILITY

The buyer becomes the owner of the product when bidding is done, it then becomes your responsibility. We have staff members available to gather, stack, wrap and load your truck. We do not charge for this service, but staff members are appreciative of tips.

SHIPMENT

We have our own fleet of trucks to assist with the shipment of products. Call for availability and quotes.

PURCHASE OPTIONS

We accept cash and approved checks. We also accept all major credit cards with a 3% fee. Terms can be offered to corporate accounts & established customers.

PAYMENT REQUIREMENT

Buyer shall pay in full for all products purchased on the day of sale, unless credit terms are established with Cumberland Valley Produce Auction.

NOTATIONS TO BUYERS – ITEMS ARE SOLD BY THE UNIT – EACH, FLAT, BUNCH, BOX, ETC. THE AUCTION PRICE IS THE QUANTITY OF UNITS X PRICE.
